The Whole World Is Anxiously Awaiting The Winner Of The US Presidential Election, Trump Or Biden

JAKARTA - The results of the presidential election (Pilpres) in the United States (US) which brought together Donald Trump and his rival Joe Biden, are not only awaited by citizens of Uncle Sam's country. The whole world is currently anxiously waiting for the champion who will become the number one person in the superpower, the US.

The declaration of victory by Trump was criticized by many parties on Wednesday, November 4. There are Americans who judge declaration of victory before the final vote count as trampling on democratic norms. Due to the early declaration of victory in the middle of the vote count, reaction after reaction was shown by many leaders of the countries in the world.

One of them, the British Foreign Minister, Dominic Raab. Raab invited British citizens not to directly speculate about the victory of one of the presidential candidates. According to Raab, it is better for people to wait for the vote count results to finish.

"Let's wait and see how it goes. Obviously there is significant uncertainty. It's much closer than I think many people expected," said Raab.

In contrast to Raab, who urged his citizens not to rush into speculation. The Prime Minister of Slovenia, Janez Jansa, immediately congratulated Trump. Jansa is known to be friends with Trump and believes that the US Presidential Election is over with the victory in the hands of Melania's husband.

“It's pretty clear that the American people have voted for @realDonaldTrump and @Mike_Pence for the next 4 years. The more delays and facts denying #MSM, the bigger the final win for #POTUS, ”Jansa tweeted.

Interesting entertainment

The excitement doesn't just belong to the country's leaders. The world community also enlivened the hashtags #Trump, #Biden, and # Uselections2020. Even these three hashtags are trending in Russia, Pakistan, Malaysia, Kenya, Europe, and all of Latin America. The popularity of hashtags proves that the world community is eagerly awaiting the winner between the two candidates.

Because of this, a member of the Russian parliament, Vyacheslav Nikonov, advised Russians to immediately buy popcorn as a snack to watch the vote count between Trump vs Biden. According to him, the US Presidential Election will only divide the supporters of the two.

"The election result is the worst outcome for America. Whoever wins the legal battle, half of Americans will not consider them the rightful president. Let's get plenty of popcorn," Nikonov wrote.

In line with Nikonov, Australians also seem to enjoy the US Presidential Election as an entertaining spectacle, one of which is Glen Roberts. Glen, who accidentally came to a bar in Sydney just to watch his idol Trump win the presidential election. To the extent that, Glen wore a hat with a slightly mocked Trump campaign slogan, namely "Make Europe Great Again."

"The news was much better when Trump came in. You never know what he said, it was very good. I think it would be less interesting if Trump lost," added Glen.

If Glen only enjoyed the US Presidential Election as entertainment, then it would be different from other Sydney residents, Luke Heinrich. For Luke, the US Presidential Election is not just a matter of entertainment. However, the winner of the presidential election will influence world politics for the next four years.

"I think it affects all of us, what happens there is very important for the next four years here," said Sydney resident Luke Heinrich.

In China too. Even though many people understand that China's relationship with the US during Trump's presidency has deteriorated, Trump's leadership still has a lot of support through China's social media, Weibo. According to them, Trump is the main actor in destroying US democracy.

"Whether he wins or loses, his final mission is to destroy the appearance of American democracy," wrote one user on the Weibo platform.

“Let Trump be re-elected and take the US. down the hill, "wrote another.

Meanwhile, in Nigeria, a prominent politician, Shehu Sani, seems to be joking that with the messy administration of the US Presidential Election, the US should learn again about democracy in Africa.

"Africa used to learn American democracy, America is now studying African democracy," he said.
