The Scavenger Found Covered In Blood Is Still Under Investigation, Police Find Difficulty To Find CCTV
JAKARTA - Police are still investigating the case of a scavenger who was found lying covered in blood on the sidewalk of Gatot Soebroto Street, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta.
The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of Mampang Prapatan Police, Commissioner Adjutant of Police Budi Laksono, said that until now the victim was unconscious. Therefore, his party has not asked for information.
"We haven't been able to determine why this was ganged up on because we haven't seen it until now. Later, developments will definitely be notified," Budi said via text message, Thursday, July 7.
"The victim is still not aware. Later when there is definite information. The victim is currently at Fatmawati Hospital," he continued.
Budi said that the victim only suffered bruises on the face. Based on the witness who had been examined, said Budi, the victim was hit and run.
"According to the initial assumption, the hit and run, but we are still under investigation," he said.
He also explained that his party also had difficulties because there was no CCTV near the scene.

Previously, it was reported that a man was found lying covered in blood on the sidewalk of Gatot Soebroto Street, Mampang Prapatan, South Jakarta. The man is suspected of being a victim of abuse by his colleagues, scavengers.
West Kuningan Neighborhood Head, Eddy Latuheru (68), said the scavengers were found by online motorcycle taxi drivers (Ojol) on Tuesday, July 5, at night.
Based on information from the online driver, the victim was beaten with iron by the perpetrator and lying on the street.
"At that time, the driver saw another scavenger who had hit the victim using iron. Because when we looked for coneblocks around here, there were none," said Eddy when met at the location, Wednesday, July 6.
