Jokowi Reminds The Police That The Sense Of Justice Must Be Felt By The Whole Community

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) reminded all ranks of the National Police to enforce the law according to the rules. Thus, a sense of justice can be felt by all Indonesian people.

"I need to remind the people that the sense of justice and the usefulness of the law must be felt by the people, the people must feel it", said Jokowi when he became the Inspector of the 76th Bhayangkara Anniversary Ceremony in Semarang, Tuesday, July 5.

Then, all Bhayangkara Corps personnel must also prioritize prevention rather than action. Thus, creating security in the community.

"Take various policing actions in a humane but firm manner when necessary", he said.

"Make law enforcement the last resort", continued Jokowi.

In fact, members of the National Police are also asked to always follow procedures while on duty. Especially, upholding human rights (HAM).

"You must obey procedures and uphold human rights", said Jokowi.

This message was conveyed because it is undeniable that the task of the Police will be even more difficult. Therefore, Koprs Bhayangkara is asked to continue to synergize with all parties to resolve all problems.

"Synergy with Indonesian Army (TNI), Ministries, and institutions in carrying out their duties", said Jokowi.
