Newcastle United Wants To Borrow Armando Broja, Chelsea Is Still Thinking Because Lukaku Just Left
JAKARTA - English Premier League club Newcastle United are reportedly interested in borrowing young striker Armando Broja from Chelsea in the player transfer market this summer.
Quoted by Antara from Sky Sports, Monday, it was reported that Newcastle United had held talks with Chelsea about the possibility of loaning Broja this summer.
Even so, Chelsea first wanted to involve Broja in pre-season before deciding on the Albanian player's future, especially since they had just lost Romelu Lukaku who was on loan at Inter.
Apart from Newcastle, Broja is also reportedly attracting attention from other Premier League clubs such as West Ham and Southampton, clubs who had received his services on loan from Chelsea last season.
Some time ago, it was reported that West Ham were ready to spend up to 30 million pounds, or around Rp. 544 billion, to bring in striker Broja. The Hammers made the 20-year-old the main target of the attack sector in the transfer market this summer.
Last season Broja played 38 games for Southampton to score 9 goals and one assist.
The 20-year-old started his career with Chelsea's youth team in 2018 and was loaned out to Dutch side Vitesse for a season in 2020.
The player born on 10 September 2001 was also part of the Albanian national team squad and made his debut in the UEFA Nations League against Lithuania on 7 September 2020.
