The End Of The Long Holiday, Train Passengers To Jakarta Are Still Crowded Until Tomorrow
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia predicts the return flow of long-distance train passengers to Jakarta at the end of the long holiday until Monday, November 2, will still be full of passengers.
Head of Public Relations of PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Eva Chairunisa said that today there were around 12,572 train passengers who disembarked in the Daop 1 area of Jakarta.
"The details are passengers who got off at Gambir Station with 4,352 passengers, Pasar Senen 5,459 passengers, Bekasi 1,012 passengers, Jatinegara 1,588 passengers, Jakarta Kota 42 passengers, Karawang 68 passengers, and Cikampek 51 passengers," Eva said in a written statement, Sunday, 1 November.
The highest return flow prediction will occur on Monday, reaching 14,051 passengers. The passengers came from West Java, Central Java and East Java.
Meanwhile, for train departures from Gambir Station and Pasar Senen there is still an increase compared to last weekend, with an average passenger of around 2,600 per day.
Based on temporary data today, there are 4,919 passengers departing from the 9,042 seats provided.
"This number is predicted to increase, considering that the reservation process is still open and there will be ticket purchases at the go show counters which are open 3 hours before departure," said Eva.
Of the number of passengers today, there are still about 40 percent of seats available for which train customers can still order tickets.
For information, during the long holiday period of 27-31 October 2020, PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta has dispatched a total of 36,316 train passengers from Gambir Station, Pasar Senen, and Jakarta Kota.
