Pelindo IV Leads Ship Service Technology In KTI With VessP4 PLUS
JAKARTA - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia IV (Persero) is leading ship service technology in Eastern Indonesia (KTI) by developing a technology-based application system, VessP4 PLUS.
Head of Information Technology (IT) Bureau of PT Pelindo IV, Safrizal in Makassar, Saturday, said VessP4 stands for Vessel Service System of Pelindo 4 which is used to manage ship service activities within the Company. Meanwhile PLUS is Pelindo 4 Loading and Unloading System.
"PLUS is an application system designed to manage the loading and unloading services and various businesses in Pelindo IV," he explained as quoted by Antara, Sunday, November 1.
According to him, this application system is integrated, namely InaPortnet, VessP4, IBS Pelindo IV and SAP. Meanwhile PLUS is integrated with VessP4 and IBS Pelindo IV.
This application system, Safrizal continued, was created to support reducing paper consumption and going green in order to protect and preserve nature.
So far, branches in the Kalimantan region that have used the VessP4 application are the Samarinda Branch, Tanjung Redeb, Bontang, Bontang Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Marine Unit, SBU Marine Unit Sangkulirang and SBU Marine Unit Grogot.
As for the Sulawesi region, namely the Manado, Kendari, Pantoloan, Gorontalo and SBU Marine Unit Luwuk branches. For the Maluku region, namely the Ternate branch and in the Papua region, namely the Jayapura and Biak branches.

"Meanwhile, the branches that have used PLUS are Pantoloan, Gorontalo and Biak branches," said Safrizal.
He said, in the VessP4 application system there are several features, including real time, namely recording the realization of ship services in real time.
Including online user registration, that is, VessP4 users can register online anywhere. "And digital documents, namely digitizing service documents and archived electronically," he said.
The Head of IT Pelindo IV added, VessP4 has also been equipped with a mobile application for scout officers, so that the realization of ship service is immediately sent to service users as soon as service activities are completed.
"This application is also anytime and anywhere. This means that requests for ship services can be made anytime and anywhere, ”said Safrizal.
Not only internally, but VessP4 PLUS also attracted other parties, especially PT Pelindo II (Persero) / IPC, to find out more about this application.
Precisely on Friday, October 16, as many as 9 people from various divisions in IPC led by the Finance Director of PT Pelindo II, Yon Irawan, conducted a benchmark to see business processes and a demo of the VessP4 PLUS application system which took place at the 7th Floor Multipurpose Room Pelindo IV Headquarters Makassar. .
Benchmark itself is a method of systematic and logical performance improvement through measuring and comparing performance and then using it to improve performance.
