Akhyar Nasution Diulosi, Bobby Nasution Promises Medan Floods To Be Overcome

MEDAN - Two candidates for the mayor of Medan with the surname Nasution campaigned today. Akhyar Nasution received the support of Ikanas from North Sumatra while being discussed, while Bobby Nasution met with residents to talk about promises to improve infrastructure so that problems such as floods in Medan can be resolved.

"Improving infrastructure will be our main focus in the future," said Bobby Nasution when meeting residents at Jalan Puskesmas, Medan Sunggal Subdistrict, Medan, quoted by Antara, Saturday, October 31.

The son-in-law of President Joko Widodo said that with the annual budget managed by the Medan City Government, classic problems such as floods can be resolved. Likewise with other infrastructure improvements.

"We will also focus on it. The problem now is that budget management cannot be played. Honest bureaucracy will produce maximum performance for the sake of society. Support and help me to create Medan with good bureaucracy in the future," said Bobby Nasution.

Apart from the infrastructure problem, Bobby Nasution also listened to the residents' comments regarding other problems, such as health services and social assistance that were not on target.

In the campaign, Bobby Nasution then continued his blusukan to Jalan Aman, Cinta Damai Village, Medan Helvetia. There, Bobby Nasution was greeted with a puddle on the street. This was exacerbated by the damage to the road that had been unpaved for years.

Bobby Nasution promised in front of the residents that he would provide BPJS Health for free for the community. The social assistance program will also be added not only in hopes of the central program.

"With the maximum data collection, the distribution of aid will be right on target. MSMEs will also receive capital assistance. All can be realized if people come to the TPS to vote, don't abstain," he said.

On the same day in a separate location, the candidate for Mayor of Medan Akhyar Nasution received support in the Medan Pilkada from the Nasution Dohot Boruna (Ikanas) North Sumatra (Sumut) Family Association.

Ikanas North Sumatra expressed support for candidate number 1 who is paired with Salman Alfarisi because he is considered experienced. This support was conveyed at a meeting between Akhyar Nasution and the management of Ikanas Dohot Boruna North Sumatra at the private residence of the former head of the North Sumatra DPD Ikanas, Amrullah Nasution, in Medan, Saturday, October 31.

During the meeting, Akhyar was criticized by the Ikanas family as a form of blessing and support for him to fight for the seat of mayor of Medan.

"At the Nasution family meeting this time Pak Akhyar will be running for mayor of Medan. Let's invite and suggest all Nasution families throughout Medan to vote for Pak Akhyar," said Amrullah.

For this support, Akhyar Nasution said he was honored. Akhyar appreciates the support provided by Ikanas North Sumatra.

"The Nasution family has become a national conversation. Because by chance two of the candidates are surnamed Nasution. With this support, it has become an encouragement for me to fight in the upcoming December 9 2020 Pilkada contest," said Akhyar.
