Khofifah Inaugurated Electricity Turning On 1,951 Permanent Residential Residents (Huntap) Affected Semeru
LUMAJANG - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa symbolically inaugurated 1,951 permanent residences (huntap) for residents affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru. He hopes that the electricity supply can meet the daily needs of local residents.
"Hopefully with the support of this electricity supply, ladies and gentlemen will feel more comfortable and productive living in their new homes. The East Java Provincial Government together with the Lumajang Regency Government and all stakeholders will continue to strive so that other facilities can be expedited to support the activities of local residents," said Khofifah , during the symbolic turning on of the electricity connection in Sumbermujur Village, Candipuro District, Lumajang Regency, Monday, June 27.
Khofifah expressed her appreciation to the GM PLN UID East Java and the team who had worked quickly to complete the electricity connection for 1,951 huntaps. He hoped that the supply of electrical energy would also be a source of economic activity for residents who had been paralyzed by the disaster.
"If the electricity supply has arrived, the water needs are fulfilled, then the internet connection is also very important to hasten. Because in this fast-paced era, we must not miss information even though we live in the village. Even our children will really need it to support learning them," he said.
According to Khofifah, the acceleration of the construction of shelters and shelters along with all their facilities is the result of strong synergy by many parties. So, he also expressed his highest gratitude to all parties for all the energy devoted to recovery after the Semeru APG disaster.
"Hopefully every assistance that has been given for handling the post-disaster APG Semeru will become a charity that has an uninterrupted reward with Allah," he said.
Meanwhile, the Regent of Lumajang, Thoriqul Haq, expressed his gratitude for the great attention of many parties to the survivors of APG Gunung Semeru.
"Especially to the Village Head of Sumbermujur. I thank you very much for giving the land, making it possible to be used as a relocation location for residents who lost their homes due to APG Semeru. Thank you very much," said Thoriq.
To note, the construction of the electricity network for the Semeru survivor shelters was supplied from the Pronojiwo feeder which required the addition of 79 Medium Voltage (TM) poles, 133 Low Voltage (TR) poles, 3,158 circuit kilometers (kms) for the Medium Voltage Air Duct (SUTM) network, and the pipeline network. Low Voltage Air (SUTR) along 6,447 kms and 7 units of distribution substations.
For the construction of the network, PLN has allocated an investment fund of IDR 4.8 billion, while the first phase of electricity connection for 250 customers is IDR 276.8 million and the second phase is IDR 1.7 billion for 1,701 customers.
