The Attorney General's Office Names 2 New Suspects In The Garuda Case, Emirsyah Satar And Soetikno Soedarjo

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office has named two new suspects in the corruption case of PT Garuda Indonesia. The two are Emirsyah Satar, former president director of Garuda and Soetikno Soeadrdjo, former president director of PT Mugi Rekso Abadi.

"We named a new suspect on 27 June 2022, the results of our exposure identified 2 new suspects, SS as President Director of Garuda, FS as Director of PT Mugi Rekso Abadi," said Attorney General ST Burhanuddin in a press conference broadcast on the Indonesian Attorney's YouTube channel, Monday, June 27.

In addition, the AGO, continued Burhanuddin, has received the results of an audit of state losses in the alleged corruption case of PT Garuda Indonesia.

"If it is Indonesianized (conversion, ed), Rp 8.8 trillion in losses will be incurred," continued the Attorney General.

Meanwhile, the two new suspects in Garuda corruption were not detained. Because both of them are currently serving a criminal case in a legal case handled by the KPK.

"The two suspects violated Article 2 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Corruption Crime Act and were not detained because they are currently serving a crime against the PT Garuda case which is being handled by the KPK," said Burhanuddin.
