Before The Deportation Of Chinese Foreigners, Batam Class I Immigration Was Affected By Bribery Issues
BATAM - The Immigration Office Class I Immigration Checkpoint (TPI) Batam was hit by oblique rumors before deporting a Chinese citizen with the initials YXB. The foreigner was deemed to have violated the residence permit.
The deportation of YXB started when a Batam resident reported and asked YXB to be deported. After investigating the file, XYB was found to have violated the residence permit.
"We immediately took firm action in the form of detention and deportation", said Head of the Immigration Office Class I TPI Batam, Subki Miuldi, as reported by Antara.
Before this case was resolved, rumors emerged that Batam Class I Immigration received money from XYB. Subki said that there was news that said the immigration party had received money from YXB to be immediately deported so that his legal problems in Indonesia were not followed up.
“But this is actually the other way around because this is indeed a request from the complainant. They really have a dispute, so if there is an immigration issue or receiving money, I'm far from that. We are trying to be professional not to violate the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) and instead, we have complied with the SOP", said Subki, as reported by Antara.
Subki said that YXB in Batam had been in 2018 using a work visa. However, the person concerned carries out activities outside the residence permit intended for him.
"He does not only work in company A but there are also activities or work in other places that are not by the residence permit", he said.
Subki then continued, that the examination of the evidence of YXB violations had been completed and he immediately returned him to his country of origin.
"The Batam Immigration Office will then dispatch XYB to Jakarta for deportation with an escort to the plane door", he said.
