Tjahjo Kumolo Hospitalized, KemenPANRB: Not Coma But Must Undergo Intensive Care

JAKARTA - The Minister for Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (MenPANRB) Tjahjo Kumolo is currently undergoing intensive care in hospital. This news was conveyed by the Secretary of the KemenPANRB Rini Widayantini.

"He is not in a coma, but has to undergo intensive treatment until his overall condition is stable and improves," Rini said when confirmed by reporters, Friday, June 24.

It was not stated at which hospital the former Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) was being treated. Rini only asked for prayers so that Tjahjo could recover soon.

"We ask for prayers from ladies and gentlemen and all Indonesian people regarding Mr. Tjahjo's health condition," he said.

"Hopefully he will get better soon," added Rini.

As previously reported, the news of Tjahjo being hospitalized was also agreed by the Chairman of the PDIP DPP Djarot Saiful Hidayat.

"It's true, he (Tjahjo, ed) is being treated and needs rest," said Djarot when confirmed by VOI via text message, Friday, June 24.

Djarot did not elaborate on the illness that Tjahjo was suffering from. "Please pray for him to be healthy and fit," he said.

For information, Tjahjo was not present at the PDIP II National Working Meeting (Rakernas) at the Party School, Lenteng Agung, Jakarta, which was held on June 21-23.

In fact, a number of ministers from PDIP including the Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna Laoly, Cabinet Secretary (Setkab) Pramono Anung were also present. In addition, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) was also present.
