DKI Governor Anies Reminds Health Protocol In Families During Long Holidays
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan reminded the public to continue implementing health protocols in the family environment when carrying out long holidays. This appeal is related to the findings of 4,684 family clusters.
"The transmission of COVID-19 is not only in public places, but in private (private) spaces is high. The figure in Jakarta for the family cluster is 39 percent of the positive cases encountered are in families, the number of family clusters is 4,684 and the total is 36,659 positive cases. , meaning that a lot of transmission occurs in the family, "said Anies as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, October 28,
According to Anies, many COVID-19 transmissions are triggered due to weak health protocols in the family environment.
"When we are on public transportation, we discipline 3M. We are in a place where many of our people wear masks, but when we meet family, colleagues, people we know suddenly we feel that discipline drops. We often feel familiar, feel like brothers. not using masks properly, not maintaining distance, not washing hands, "said Anies.
For this reason, Anies asked the public to continue to carry out health protocols even in the family environment, especially during long holidays which are predicted to be used by many people for holidays and visiting family.
"We invite everyone during this holiday period to take a vacation while maintaining health, maintaining safety, protecting others. When we want to protect our siblings, wear masks when we want to make sure our parents are healthy, wear masks, keep your hands clean," he said.
Anies is optimistic that the health protocol will reduce the increase in active cases. He also continued to urge people to stay at home as much as possible during holidays.
"God willing, that way we can pass this holiday period without experiencing the consequences of the spike in the transmission of COVID-19. Have a good holiday with your family, enjoy your rest period and once again try to stay at home. Try to always be in a safe environment, which is where in our house. , "he said.
