Demo Rejects Work Creation Law, Dozens Of Children Have Progress To The Front Row

JAKARTA - A number of children are seen participating in a demonstration against the Work Creation Law in the Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue area, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, October 28.

Dozens of children even had time to advance to the front row among the student masses. But it did not last long. They withdrew after the police asked their whereabouts.

Central Jakarta Police Chief, Kombes Heru Novianto said that his party had detected the presence of children in this action.

"We are monitoring that it is still conducive, there is no visible potential for chaos. The authorities have not prepared a shield against the mass of students," said Heru.

While the current situation at the Horse Statue, masses of students started arriving. Their demands are still the same as before, namely rejecting the Job Creation Law.

This crowd consisted of Gunadarma University students wearing a gray alma mater and Mercu Buana University wearing a red alma mater.

This student brought a command car to give speeches. Beside the car, a number of students unfurled banners reading "sorry for the improvement of democracy".

"There are still many democracy fighters who voiced their rejection of the Omnibus Law," exclaimed an orator in the command car.

After giving speeches, they recited several national songs. Other student protesters sat in the middle of Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat which was closed by officers.

Like the previous demonstration, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan has been closed since morning. Police officers installed road dividers along with barbed wire on both roads.

Behind the barrier, policewomen formed a line while monitoring student action activities. Behind the police line, several barracuda and mass decomposers were prepared.

In securing this action, 20 thousand joint personnel were deployed. They are spread across three points, namely the State Palace area, the Proclamation Monument and the DPR / MPR RI Building.
