KPK Will Lecture Gerindra Party About Anti-Corruption Including Strengthening Integrity

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) will provide the Gerindra Party with a number of anti-corruption materials today, Monday, June 20.

This activity is related to the Quality Smart Politics program held by the anti-corruption commission and targets parties participating in the general election (election).

"At the KPK Anti-Corruption Education Center Building, an executive briefing and anti-corruption briefing will be held for Gerindra Party officials," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Prevention Ipi Maryati Kuding in a written statement, Monday, June 20.

Ipi said the Gerindra Party would be represented by the secretary-general, Ahmad Muzani. In addition, this activity will also be attended by 73 other party officials.

Meanwhile, a lecture from the KPK will be given by the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Alexander Marwata, and officials from the Deputy for Education and Community Participation of the KPK. There are a number of materials that will be given ranging from strengthening integrity to independent anti-corruption discussions.

"The Deputy Chairperson of the KPK, Alexander Marwata, is scheduled to open the activity and continue with the provision of a number of materials," she said.

"These include Strengthening Integrity, Political Party Integrity System (SIPP), and discussion on anti-corruption independent learning that will be delivered by officials at the Deputy for Education and Community Participation of the KPK," Ipi added.

Previously, a number of parties had participated in this activity. These include the National Mandate Party (PAN), the Crescent Star Party (PBB), and the Democratic Party.

The Quality Smart Politics program will be held from May to August online and face-to-face at the KPK Anti-Corruption Education Center Building. This event is considered to be one of the steps to prevent corruption in the political sector.
