Who Wants To Be Left Alone, Prabowo Meeting - Cak Imin Responses To The Establishment Of KIB

JAKARTA - Senior researcher at the Political Research Center of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) Siti Zuhro said the meeting of Gerindra Chairman Prabowo Subianto and the General Chair of the National Awakening Party Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) responded to the formation of the United Indonesia Coalition (KIB).

"Because no one wants to be left alone," said the Senior Researcher of the LIPI Political Research Center, Prof. Siti Zuhro, citing Antara, Sunday, June 19.

This was conveyed by him in response to the meeting of Gerindra Party Chairman Prabowo Subianto with PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar at the Defense Minister's residence on Saturday, June 18.

KIB is a coalition of the Golkar Party, PPP and PAN which was formed in response to the 2024 Presidential Election.

According to Siti, not only Gerindra and PKB, all political parties will also respond to KIB's political stance in the near future or at least ahead of the 2024 General Election (Pemilu).

"All parties will respond to what KIB has done, including responding to what NasDem has done by declaring three candidates to be promoted in the 2024 presidential election," said Siti.

Political parties, according to him, will maneuver or hold meetings to form new coalition possibilities ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

Siti said that what was displayed by party elites was something that was natural in the political world. However, it is not natural for party leaders to be busy doing just that.

Because, if the party elite is only busy making friends, the wider community will suffer. Moreover, what all parties, including parties, must think about is how to build the nation and state and not only focus on coalitions.

Regarding the meeting between Prabowo Subianto and Cak Imin, who is familiarly called Muhaimin Iskandar, Siti believes the two parties are building cooperation towards a coalition for the 2024 General Election.
