Questioning The Undisclosed Benefits Of Formula E
JAKARTA - Formula E Jakarta has been claimed as a racing event that was successfully held, without significant obstacles, and received appreciation. Because of his confidence with the Formula E event, DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan had time to give satirical expressions to certain parties.
With a subtle satire, Anies apologized if this electric car racing event was disappointing to people who were previously pessimistic about this racing title. Anies alluded to the implementation of Formula E which was considered disappointing by pessimistic people.
"I apologize to some (people) because yesterday's Formula E was disappointing, disappointing for the people who were pessimistic could happen," said Anies on Friday, June 10.
However, there is one thing that is still bugging some parties to this day regarding the implementation of Formula E on Saturday, June 4, in Ancol. Until now, the projected income has not been revealed.
Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria had guaranteed that the organizers and committee of Formula E could account for the budget for this electric car racing title in a transparent manner.
"Everything is very open, very transparent. It will definitely be submitted at a later time, reported, all processes so far, activities and accountability," said Riza at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, June 7. Meanwhile, until last Wednesday, June 15, PT Jakpro has not disclosed the benefits of Formula E. "We are still in the process of financial reconciliation," said PT Jakpro President Director Widi Amanasto when confirmed.
This is a question from the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD. A member of the PDIP faction, Gilbert Simanjuntak, saw that the organizers had hidden something about the calculation of income from the implementation of Formula E.

Until now, the BUMD PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) as the organizer has not disclosed the benefits of Formula E, either to the DPRD or to the public.
Even though the DKI Provincial Government and a number of DKI DPRD members claim that Formula E Jakarta has been successfully held, Gilbert views that this cannot be used as a shield to cover the transparency of the projected revenue from the race.
"The event is claimed to be a success without data, and seems to cover up existing problems. The enormous budget problem for the event seems to be meant to be covered up because it has already been implemented," said Gilbert on Thursday, June 16.
Therefore, Gilbert requested that the budget spent on profits from the electric car racing event be audited specifically by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) or an independent auditor.
"The amount of the Formula E budget that came out, and the boasting of those who said it was profitable, and the criticisms addressed to the Governor and his staff should be answered with valid data. That data is very precise and good if it is audited by a third party, with a 5-star auditor or by BPKP with a special audit," he said.
Gilbert also urged Anies to be willing for Formula E to be audited by the external party. "The honesty or lies of the Governor and his staff in this matter will be real, not just polish or words if they are willing to be thoroughly audited. We need leaders who are according to actions and words," added Gilbert.
