Overthrow China's Representative, Apri/Fadia To The Quarter Finals Of Indonesia Open 2022

JAKARTA — Women's doubles Apriyani Rahayu / Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti managed to secure a ticket for the quarter-finals of the Indonesia Open 2022.

Last week's Indonesia Master 2022 finalist had to fight in three sets 21-16, 16-21 and 21-18 to beat the Chinese pair, Zhang Shu Xian/Zheng Yu in Istora, Jakarta, on Thursday, June 16 evening WIB.

Apri/Fadia secured one ticket from the two women's doubles representatives who fought today. Another women's doubles, Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amalia Cahya Pratiwi, failed to reach the quarter-finals.

Jonatan Christie's men's singles, men's doubles Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin, Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo/Marcus Fernaldi Gideon, and mixed doubles Praveen Jordan/Melati Daeva Oktavianti who resigned.

In the quarter-finals, April/Fadia will meet the second seed of Korea, Lee So Hee/Shin Seung Chan, who stopped Febriana/Amalia.

On paper, Apri/Fadia won 1-0 over Lee/Shin. The only victory was recorded by the 2021 SEA Games Hanoi gold medal winner when they met in the quarter-finals of the Indonesia Masters last week.
