Advertisement Pole In Front Of Pamulang Toll Gate Collapses, Officers Have Difficulty Evacuating Due To Traffic Congestion
TANGERANG - A billboard on Jalan RE Martadinata, Cipayung, Ciputat, South Tangerang collapsed. Luckily, there were no casualties in the incident, it's just that there was a severe traffic jam in front of the Pamulang toll gate.
The billboard collapsed when heavy rain and strong winds hit the Pamulang and Ciputat areas. According to the South Tangerang Firefighters (Damkar) Danru Bravo, Muhammad Sigit, the incident occurred Monday, June 13, in the afternoon.
"So we reported from the call center before sunset that there was an advertisement that fell due to the unfavorable weather," said Sigit, Monday, June 13.
"Then the support poles are not strong enough to withstand the strong winds," he added.
Sigit said that it took his party two hours to evacuate the billboard, starting from cutting the poles with heavy equipment such as chainsaws and steel cutting machines.
"The process was 2 hours ago, we were able to evacuate, due to heavy traffic. We have to manage the traffic. Many residents are looking around the location," he concluded.
According to observations at the scene, dozens of firefighters and BPBD officers were seen. Police officers also appear to be controlling the flow of traffic jams.
Congestion occurred up to 1 kilometer from the direction of Parung Bogor to Ciputat. On the other hand, vehicles from Ciputat to Parung Bogor travel from the Ministry of Education and Culture's Pusdatin to the Pamulang toll gate intersection.
