The Mystery Of The 3 Months Smell Of Carcasses In Cipayung Is Finally Revealed
JAKARTA - Residents in RW 02, Munjul Urban Village, Cipayung District, East Jakarta, have been living side by side with the smell of a carcass for three months. They were confused about where the smell of carcasses came from in Cipayung.
The smell of the carcasses that had swept around the residential areas there could finally be identified. The smell of carcasses in Cipayung actually comes from the waste of a dog slaughterhouse in Kelapa Dua Wetan, Ciracas.
"From the results of our surveillance since July 2020, it was revealed that the smell of the carcasses there came from discarded dog carcasses from slaughterhouses that were dumped carelessly," said Head of Urban Village Munjul Sumarjono, Friday (23/10/2020).
Reporting from Antara, the revelation of the smell of the carcass was the result of surveillance by urban village officials. They managed to catch the hands of one of the perpetrators who deliberately threw away the dog carcass on Jalan Raya Munjul, Friday.
The perpetrator with the initials D. To the urban village officer, D admitted that he threw the remains of the dog slaughtered in the form of the head and offal onto the shoulder of Jalan Raya Munjul.
Every day there are five officers of the Public Infrastructure and Facilities Officer (PPSU) who carry out surveillance at the site of disposal of the carcass. So far, the carcass has been evacuated by the PPSU of Munjul Village to a waste disposal location that is officially managed by the government.
As a result, the smell of carcasses from the dog's head and its plastic-wrapped innards burst into residents' homes and was also felt by a number of passing vehicle drivers.
Sumarjono said that the man who removed the carcass had been given a fine of Rp. 100,000 and a written warning. The slaughterhouse manager is also subject to sanctions by making a statement letter not to repeat his actions.
Sumarjono said that the incident started with reports from residents of RW 02 Munjul who often found the carcass of a dog's head that had just been dumped on the side of the road.
The perpetrator was caught in the hand while throwing the carcass at the scene. The officer immediately went to and took the person concerned to the kelurahan office to make an investigation report (BAP).
"We have been investigating for three months who the carcass of the dog's head is. Now it has only been caught red-handed and we are immediately taking firm action," said Sumarjono.
Sumarjono added that the perpetrator was a worker in a dog slaughterhouse in Kelapa Dua Wetan, Ciracas.
"Every day he admitted that he was ordered to remove the dog's head after it was cut. The employer only took the meat while the head was removed every day," he said.
