To Build Only Basic Infrastructure At IKN, The Ministry Of PUPR Needs IDR 43.73 Trillion
JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Basuki Hadimuljono, admitted that he needed a budget of IDR 43.73 trillion from 2022-2024 to build basic infrastructure in the nation's capital (IKN) Nusantara.
"The need for all of 2022 to 2024 is IDR 43.73 trillion. Our proposal for last April for 2022 is IDR 5 trillion", said Minister Basuki in a working meeting with Commission V of the Indonesian House of Representatives in Jakarta, Thursday, June 9.
He said his party had written to the Minister of Finance regarding the need for IKN development funds of IDR 5 trillion. Currently, several projects are in the bidding process. Thus, the proposed funding of IDR 5 trillion is likely to be absorbed by only IDR 4.3 trillion.
"There are several that have been auctioned at Cipta Karya, some have auctioned this June. It is possible that it will not absorb IDR 5 trillion, but around IDR 4.3 trillion. But all in all, until 2024 around IDR 43.73 trillion, this is also prepared for the DIPA", he said quoted from Antara.
However, Basuki emphasized that the PUPR Ministry was only tasked with building basic infrastructure in the new capital city.
"We only handle some basic infrastructure works, namely toll roads, national roads, the president's office, the vice president's office, the offices of the coordinating ministry and the Ministry of State Secretary", he said.
In addition, the Ministry of PUPR is also tasked with working on raw water and drainage.
