These 6 Upgrades Could Be The Attractiveness Of The 2022 MacBook Air, The Most Outstanding M2 Chip!

JAKARTA - Apple today introduced the completely redesigned MacBook Air 2022 powered by the new M2 chip, which brings breakthrough performance and capabilities beyond the M1 chip.

MacBook Air 2022 brings everything users love, with a new ultra-thin design and better performance, most importantly, Apple promises up to 18 hours of battery life on this new device.

But of course considering that the MacBook Air 2022 comes with a new chipset, it means that the price offered is still quite expensive.

For this reason, before buying it, it's a good idea to know the features that this latest MacBook Air brings, here's the details that VOI quoted from Apple's official website, Tuesday, June 7.

M2 chips

The M2 kicks off the second generation of Apple's M series chips and extends the incredible features of the M1. With leading-edge power efficiency, unified memory architecture, and specialized technology, the new chip brings more performance and capability to Apple's most popular Mac notebooks.

The company says it has increased memory bandwidth by 50 percent, a CPU that's 18 percent faster than the M1, and a GPU that's up to 35 percent faster.

The M2 chip also has a 16-core Neural Engine, which makes it capable of performing up to 15.8 trillion operations every second. Users will also be able to connect the MacBook Air with the M2 to an external 6K display.

There is also support for up to 24 GB of LPDDR5 memory and the use of second-generation 5nm technology. Also includes the ability to encode and decode Apple ProRes.

New 13.6-inch Liquid Retina Display

The new MacBook Air features a gorgeous 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display, extending closer to the sides and up around the camera to make room for the menu bar.

The result is a larger display with much thinner borders, giving users more screen real estate to view their content in brilliant detail.

At 500 nits of brightness, it's also 25 percent brighter than before. Plus, the new display now supports 1 billion colors, so photos and movies look incredibly lifelike.

Updated Audio System

Ultra-thin laptops are typically designed with lots of small components meant to help facilitate their lighter weight, slimmer, and less capable audio systems.

However, that's not the case with the MacBook Air 2022 with the M2 now. Apple says it managed to pack four speakers into its newest Mac ultrabook. To do this, speakers have been installed in the laptop's screen and keyboard, the same goes for the model's triple microphone array, which makes it easier to participate in video calls without having to attach a pair of AirPods.

The company says its new 2022 MacBook Air has support for Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio, plus the hardware is paired with Apple's algorithms linked to a technology called beamforming.

The combination of features, Apple claims, will result in great stereo separation, and others should be able to hear the user speak clearly even when using the machine's built-in microphone instead of an external headset. While this isn't a unique feature, it's nice to hear Apple hasn't sacrificed audio quality in order to keep its newest Air model thin.

FaceTime 1080p Camera

MacBook Air features a new FaceTime HD 1080p camera with a larger image sensor and more efficient pixels, delivering twice the resolution and low-light performance of the previous generation. Combined with the processing power of the advanced image signal processor on the M2 chip, users will look clearer and clearer in video calls.

Better Battery Quality

Apple has put a substantial focus on the battery and charging system of the 2022 MacBook Air, which delivers up to 18 hours. While consumers expect the new MacBook Air to continue to offer long battery life, it's a bit surprising and nice to hear that this model will come with additional charging options.

In addition to using a MagSafe charger, Apple says it will release a 35-watt compact power adapter designed with two USB-C ports. With this, one can charge their MacBook Air and headphones at the same time.

Additionally, the MacBook Air 2022 will be the first in the line to support fast charging, meaning users can recharge the battery to 50 percent in half an hour or so. However, users will have to purchase an optional 67 watt fast charging adapter.

TouchID Coming to MacBook Air 2022

Complementing the features above, is the presence of TouchID, which means users will be able to secure their device and all its content with biometric data (fingerprint).

While these are smaller features, they improve the overall user experience by ensuring professionals have all the amenities needed to get work done anywhere.
