Good News From Sinar Mas Agro, Producer Of Filma Cooking Oil Owned By Conglomerate Eka Tjipta Widjaja This Divides Dividends Of IDR 847 Billion
JAKARTA - The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) of PT Sinar Mas Agro Resources and Technology Tbk (SMAR) agreed to distribute dividends to shareholders of the Bimoli cooking oil producer owned by conglomerate Eka Tjipta Widjaja.
SMAR's shareholders agreed to distribute cash dividends of IDR 295 per share, or a total of more than IDR 847 billion from the 2021 net profit of IDR 2.83 trillion. This dividend is equivalent to 30 percent of the company's net profit in 2021.
After calculating the interim dividend of IDR 185 per share which was paid on November 24, 2021, the remaining final dividend to be paid is IDR 110 per share or nearly IDR 316 billion. SMART Deputy President Director and Corporate Secretary Jimmy Pramono said that his party was happy and grateful to see SMART's achievements during 2021.
"Although the COVID-19 pandemic is still ongoing, SMAR can make good results. We will continue to utilize technological developments, to obtain maximum benefits from innovation, productivity, efficiency, agility, and cost competitiveness," said Jimmy in his written statement.
In addition to distributing dividends, the AGMS also approved and ratified the company's annual report and the report on the supervisory duties of the company's board of commissioners for the financial year ending December 31, 2021. The AGMS also approved changes to the composition of the company's board of directors.
