Hajj Pilgrims Are Asked To Be Alert When Performing Worship In The Holy Land, Robbery And Fraud Often Occur
JAKARTA - Indonesian pilgrims who are prospective Hajj pilgrims are reminded to remain vigilant during the Arbain worship at the Prophet's Mosque, Medina, and other activities while in the Holy Land.
"Stay careful. Don't be easy to believe. Perform worship in peace," said Head of the Medina Daker Linjam, Harun Al Rasyi, quoted from Antara, Monday, June 6.
Harun said to maintain security, and comfort and to provide services to the congregation, five guard posts have been operated at the Prophet's Mosque.
The guard post is part of a team from the PPIH 2022 congregation (Linjam) who is assigned to a special sector (sex) at the Prophet's Mosque. This team consists of TNI, Polri, and health officers. For female pilgrims, female officers will be prepared accompanied by ABLA (female security officers from the Arab government).
The five posts are the main post at door no. 332, postal 2 at door no. 328, postal 3 at door no. 306, for post 4 at door no. 358 Baqi and postal 5 at door no. 1 at the core of Raudhah.
In addition to providing services, officers also educate congregants to be vigilant so that unexpected things do not happen, such as muggings and frauds because they also often happen even in illegal lands.
"The modus operandi usually occurs when the congregation is separated from the group, is elderly. The perpetrator approaches the congregation with the excuse of escorting the congregation to the lodge. So, apart from officers, if there is someone who will help, the congregation must be careful and not easy to believe," he said.
