Police Will Add Formula E Parking Area, Almost Full

JAKARTA - The police will add parking locations for people who want to witness the Formula E event firsthand.

This is because several points in the JIEXpo Kemayoran area which are used as parking locations are provided almost completely.

"Our monitoring results show that the East parking lot is full and the current condition is around 90 percent for the West parking lot," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Komarudin to reporters, Saturday, June 4.

The condition of the parking lot is almost full because based on the data, 19,000 spectators have arrived or arrived at the location of the Formula E event. So that later parking lots will be made.

"There have been approximately 19,000 spectators who went to the venue or location for the race," he said

The plan is that several roads will be used as special parking locations for Formula E spectators.

The selection of the road segment must consider the flow of vehicular traffic.

"Therefore, we anticipate. There are several road sections that we have prepared for parking pockets," said Komarudin.

On the other hand, Komarudin also highlighted activities after the Formula E event was completed. This is because tens of thousands of vehicles will leave the JIEXpo Kemayorna area simultaneously.

"Approximately 10,000 vehicles in the JIEXpo area will come out at the same time, of course, this requires special attention," said Komarudin.
