3 Police Gangsters During The Job Creation Act Demonstrated, Two Of Them Are Minors

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya arrested six perpetrators of torture and theft of property belonging to members of the National Police during a demonstration against the Omnibus Law on Cipta Kerja which ended in chaos on October 8.

Head of Public Relations at Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus, said that of the six people arrested, three of them were the perpetrators of the assault and theft of the detective member with the initials AJS.

"There were 3 suspects who carried out the beatings, the victim was a member of the National Police," Yusri told reporters, Wednesday, October 21.

However, there are still two perpetrators of the persecution who are still at large. Meanwhile, of the three suspects who have been arrested, two of them are minors.

"What we managed to secure was the initials of the MPR. Then we did not show two suspects because they were minors," he said.

Based on the results of the investigation, the three suspects perpetrated the assault on Jalan Gajah Mada, West Jakarta, but still in front of the Paragon Hotel. They beat AJS, who at that time interrupted the perpetrators for ganging up on someone.

But one of the perpetrators who immediately shouted at AJS was the police. The perpetrators beat AJS.

Even after beating AJS, the perpetrators also took his belongings. Including police membership card.

"The results of his (MPR) statement at 3 o'clock then took the cellphone, and there were several other items including the identification card of the member concerned," said Yusri.

"(Two underage perpetrators) He also participated in the beatings," he continued.

As a result of the beatings, AJS suffered wounds almost all over his body. Until now, the victim is still undergoing treatment at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital, East Jakarta.

"He suffered serious injuries. First, he was hit in the eye, back, shoulder, chest, also in the head, because the perpetrators were hitting together," said Yusri.

Meanwhile, for the other three actors who have been arrested, namely, Y, FH and AIA, they were the collectors of AJS goods stolen by the MPR.

"After beating and taking the cellphone, the MRR was sold to the three suspects," Yusri continued.

Three perpetrators of the persecution were under Article 365 of the Criminal Code and Article 170 of the Criminal Code. Meanwhile, the criminals were accused of Article 480 of the Criminal Code.
