COVID-19 Update As Of June 2: 304 New Cases, No Additional Vaccination Data
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 59,523 specimens were examined with the results of 304 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,055,645 people and active cases have fallen by 36 to 3,105 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Thursday, June 2.
Today's recovered cases increased by 334 cases, bringing the total to 5,895,940 recovered people. Then, there were 6 positive confirmed deaths and a total of 156,600 people.
The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 158 cases and a total of 1,251,038 cases. Followed by West Java with 32 new cases with a total of 1,106,715 cases. Banten has 31 new cases and a total of 293,245. Then, East Java with 29 new cases and a total of 576,342 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 157 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 71 recovered cases, Bali with an additional 24 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 23 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 98,855,980.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.51 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 2,333 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
There is no additional COVID-19 vaccination data as of today. As of yesterday, 200,327,825 people had received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 167,507,245 people had received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 45,934,944. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
