"Agricultural extension workers have a big role in increasing the knowledge and skills of farmers in Indonesia. They help farmer groups, from selecting seeds to increasing crop yields", Panutan said after meeting extension workers in Soppeng, South Sulawesi, Thursday, June 2.

The training also improves the quality and improves agricultural training through various training so that assistance in the field is more optimal.

"The type of training and how it is formulated, KSP will coordinate with the relevant K/L", explained Panutan.

Previously, Panutan together with the Presidential Staff Office team met and discussed with agricultural extension workers in Soppeng Regency. Several issues that surfaced, among others, were the portion of the administrative workload that was too large and the need for regeneration.

The meeting of the Presidential Staff Office team with extension workers and agricultural stakeholders, he said, was part of the monitoring and field verification of the implementation of Presidential Decree No. 35/2022.
