Viral Video Of Clashes Between Police Members In Jambi, Police: Still Under Investigation

JAKARTA - Video circulating on social media shows clashes between members of the National Police when securing a demonstration against the Omnibus Law on Employment Creation in Jambi.

The video uploaded by the @Lini_ZQ account initially featured several plainclothes police arresting a man wearing a green jacket.

Shortly thereafter, a policeman, in uniform and bat, came and beat him. The blow angered the plainclothes policeman.

Confirmed about the video, the Head of Public Relations of the Jambi Police, Kombes Kuswahyudi Tresnadi, confirmed the incident. But he did not want to comment further about the incident.

"Yes, that's right, the incident in Jambi," said Kuswahyudi to VOI, Wednesday, October 21.

In fact, when asked about the man in the green jacket who was said to be an undercover member of the police, Kuswahyudi did not say much. He said that the incident was still being investigated.

"(The incident) is still being investigated," he said.
