Positive Cases Of COVID-19 In Sukabumi Are Increasing

JAKARTA - Positive cases of COVID-19 in Sukabumi, West Java on Tuesday, October 20 experienced a surge. This is based on data from the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 in Sukabumi Regency, West Java.

"As of today or Tuesday, 30 cases of positive COVID-19 residents have increased from various sub-districts in Sukabumi Regency," said Eneng Yulia, representative of the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 in Sukabumi Regency in Sukabumi, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, October 20. .

According to him, of the 30 new COVID-19 patients, the majority came from Cibadak District and spread in other districts such as Cicantayan, Cidadap, Caringin, Parakansalak and others.

The history of these patients contracting COVID-19 such as close contact with previous positive patients, health workers, trips out of town, traders and some who do not know the history of contracting the virus that first spread in Wuhan, China.

Of the 30 patients, 18 people underwent isolation at the hospital and 12 others chose independent isolation in their respective homes. Those who carry out independent isolation receive strict supervision from the puskesmas and are prohibited from interacting with anyone to anticipate transmission.

The high number of residents who have contracted COVID-19 is due to several factors, the Sukabumi Regency Government is currently continuing to carry out massive swab examinations for high-risk residents, thus revealing new cases. "The still high number of people infected with this disease should be more concerned and aware to implement health protocols maximally as a preventive measure to minimize contracting COVID-19," he said.

The Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 has coordinated with the banks that provide assistance to the President of the Republic of Indonesia through direct cash assistance (BLT) for MSMEs so that when distributing the aid, they continue to apply health protocols and avoid crowds of beneficiaries.

On the other hand, as of Tuesday there were 37 COVID-19 patients who had recovered, thus reducing the number of confirmed positive residents.
