Claiming To Be A Traveler And Asking For Donations To The Mosque, 2 Pakistanis Were Deported From Riau

RIAU - Abdullah and Ali Ghohar Shah, two Pakistani nationals who violated their residence permit in Rokan Hulu, Riau, were deported to the Pekanbaru Immigration Detention Center (Rudenim).

"Both of them were arrested when they confessed to being travelers and asked for help to the Al Ikhwan Mosque in the village of Kecepatan Tengah, Rokan Hulu, Riau," said Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Riau Mhd. Jahari Sitepu told the press in Pekanbaru, Wednesday.

He said they were caught asking for donations from a mosque to a mosque in the Rokan Hulu area, Riau, in April 2022. The Pakistani citizen was picked up by Pekanbaru Immigration officers who were then handed over to the Pekanbaru Rudenim.

After completing the administration and preparations, the Regional Head of Regional Office then ordered the Head of the Pekanbaru Rudenim, Yanto Ardianto, to take immigration administrative action (TAK) in the form of deporting the two Pakistani citizens.

Yanto explained, the details of the deportation using the Batik Air airline at 07.50 WIB, the Pakistani citizen departed from the Sultan Syarif Qasyim II Airport in Pekanbaru accompanied by 4 officers from the Pekanbaru Rudenim.

Arriving at Soekarno Hatta International Airport, Pekanbaru Rudenim officers immediately took the two of them to Terminal 3 of the airport, which is the international terminal.

"Furthermore, at 17.30 WIB, on May 24, 2022, both of them were flown on an Emirates Airlines flight with Flight Number EK357 to Dubai, United Arab Emirates," he said.

Then proceed to Karachi City, Pakistan, using Emirates Airlines with Flight Number EK0600. The deportation went safely and smoothly.

Kakanwil reminded all foreign nationals not to violate the rules and always behave in a good and orderly manner while staying in Indonesia.

"We will not hesitate to take action against foreigners who violate the rules. We have repeatedly deported, there are also those that we continue the process to court for violating the Immigration Law," he said.
