Puteri Indonesia 2022 Ready To Be Held, Carrying Borobudur Cultural Wealth

JAKARTA - The Puteri Indonesia (PI) 2022 event will be held again after being postponed for two years. This year, Miss Indonesia brings the rich culture and beauty of Borobudur as the main theme.

44 finalists from Puteri Indonesia with various professions are ready to compete for the three Borobudur crowns presented by Hartono Wira Tanik (HWT). The three crowns are the Red Crown for Miss Indonesia, the Green Crown for the Miss Indonesia Environment, and the Blue Crown for the Miss Indonesia Tourism.

“We also thank you for the attention and support given by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Ir. Joko Widodo, who received 44 finalists for Puteri Indonesia 2022 as a representation of the nation's next generation of young people at the Bogor Presidential Palace some time ago," said Putri Kus Wisnu Wardani as Main Advisor to the Puteri Indonesia Foundation (YPI) 2022.

Later the finalists will undergo quarantine for two weeks to develop interest in the tourism sector. In addition, this is expected to bring Indonesia in terms of tourism and creativity.

“We want to encourage Indonesian young women to develop their potential through creativity and diverse potentials. We hope that through the implementation of PPI 2022, it can be the right momentum to bring back Indonesia, especially in the field of tourism and creative industries," explained Putri.

3B or Brain, Beauty, and Behavior are still the criteria for judging the judges for Puteri Indonesia 2022.

The final night of the 2022 Puteri Indonesia Election will be held on Friday, May 27 at the Plenary Hall, Jakarta Convention Center. Miss Universe 2021, Harnaaz Sandhu from India confirmed to attend.

In addition, Miss International 2019, Sireethorn Leeramwat from Thailand and 1st Runner Up Miss Supranational 2021, Karla Guilfu Acevedo from Puerto Rico were also present.

Not only that, Ayu Maulida Putri as Puteri Indonesia 2020, Putu Ayu Saraswati as Puter Indonesia Environment 2020, and Jihane Almira Chedid as Puteri Indonesia Tourism 2020 will pass on their crowns to the three winners.
