Good News From Muhadjir Effendy About Tourist Attractions: Zero Incident Fatal Number
JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Muhadjir Effendy conveyed the good news. He ensured that there were no fatal incidents at tourist attractions during the Eid holiday.
"So, the fatal number of incidents in the tourism sector, in tourist spots, is zero," said Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir when giving a press statement regarding the 2022 Lebaran Homecoming Evaluation Meeting which was witnessed virtually in Jakarta, Tuesday, May 24, quoted from Antara.
Based on the evaluation of the 2022 Lebaran Homecoming, the government noted that there were no fatalities during the Lebaran holiday at tourist attractions.
However, Muhadjir regretted the incident. However, the slide at the Kenjeran Park swimming pool tour collapsed, Surabaya, East Java, on Saturday (7/5). The incident caused 16 visitors who were riding the vehicle to fall from a height of 10 meters.
"There were 16 people who were injured, but none of them died and are now being handled by the police for further investigation," said Muhadjir.
The Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture has also visited the location of the incident and visited the victim who was being treated at the hospital. He made sure all the victims had been treated properly.
Based on the evaluation of the 2022 Lebaran Homecoming, the Government stated that the implementation of this year's homecoming was achieved very satisfactorily.
Six indicators determine the success of going home, namely traffic management, controlling COVID-19, availability of food, availability of fuel, social assistance and acceleration of booster dose vaccination.
