Ministry Of Home Affairs Updates Data, Targets For COVID-19 Vaccination In Bekasi Regency To 2.7 Million People
BEKASI - The Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) noted that the number of COVID-19 vaccination targets in Bekasi Regency, West Java, had increased.
The data is based on updates. From the original 2.417.794 people, the total target for COVID-19 vaccination in Bekasi Regency now stands at 2.728.276.
"The additional number of targets for COVID-19 vaccination in our area by the pusdatin was set recently, in mid-May," said Deputy Spokesperson for the Bekasi District COVID-19 Task Force, Masrikoh in Cikarang, Bekasi District, Tuesday, May 24.
He said the number of vaccination targets set by the data and information center was based on the increase in the population as a result of the latest data collection by the Directorate General of Civil and Civil Registration after the two agencies cooperated.
"The results are just an update because the initial target data was only the pusdatin which issued after the collaboration with the Dukcapil there were additions, there was no effect after Lebaran ended," he said, as reported by Antara.
The addition of the number of targets has an effect on the percentage of vaccination achievement in that area, although it is not significant. With this change in data, the achievement of the first dose of vaccination is now recorded at 80.39 percent, down 10 percent from the achievement at the end of last month before the data update.
"That's not a problem, we have entered health immunity. Acceleration of vaccinations that we are pursuing, increasing the status of vaccinated citizens," he said.

Masrikoh said that so far, 2.193.173 residents in Bekasi Regency were vaccinated against the first dose of COVID-19 and 1.912.503 of them had the status of being vaccinated with the full dose.
Vaccination with antibody booster doses has also reached 760.964 people or the equivalent of 35.88 percent of the total vaccination target based on the latest data in the area.
His party continues to strive to accelerate booster doses of vaccines through a number of vaccination schemes, starting from optimizing vaccinations for all health facilities, collaboration between the National Armada Forbes (TNI)/National Police (Polri), and the private sector.
"We will also re-coordinate with industrial areas to accelerate this booster vaccine," he said.
