North Penajam Paser Disdukcapil Needs UPT To Reduce Service Queues

KALTIM - The Department of Population and Civil Registration (Disdukcapil) of North Penajam Paser Regency (PPU) requires a technical service unit (UPT) to facilitate services to the community.

Secretary of the PPU Regency Disdukcapil, Mawar said that his party needed a population administration service unit for areas located far from the district capital.

"There is a plan to establish a UPT, but the budget is constrained because the UPT needs studies, buildings, and the need for recording and printing equipment," said Mawar at PPU, East Kalimantan Province, quoted from Antara, Monday, March 23.

The establishment of a UPT for areas far from the district capital makes it easier for the community because there is no need to go to the PPU Regency Disdukcapil office. In addition, the existence of the UPT can also reduce the service queue at the PPU Regency Disdukcapil Office which reaches 100 to 150 people per day.

"With the limited budget of the Regency Government (PPU), the plan to form a UPT cannot be implemented in the near future," he said.

He said that the estimated budget for establishing the UPT was in the hundreds of millions of rupiah. The need for UPT is quite a lot, especially related to buildings and equipment for recording and printing population administration.

A fairly large budget is needed to conduct studies and studies in several areas that have established the UPT for population administration services.

"It is necessary to establish a UPT for administrative services in Babulu and Sepaku sub-districts because the area is quite far from the district capital," he said.

The establishment of the UPT in Babulu District is a priority because Sepaku District will become the authority of the State Capital Authority Agency or the new Indonesian IKN called Nusantara.
