2 Mixed Doubles Indonesia Follows Tommy Sugiarto To The Round Of 16 Thailand Open 2022

JAKARTA - Indonesia has increased the number of representatives in the last 16 of the Thailand Open 2022 through two mixed doubles. They are Akbar Bintang Cahyono/Marsheilla Gischa Islami and Zachariah Josiahno/Hediana Julimarbela.

Akbar/Marsheilla became Indonesia's fifth representative in the last 16 of the Thailand Open 2022 after defeating Egypt's Adam Hatem Elgamal/Doha Hany at the Impact Arena, Bangkok, Wednesday, May 18 afternoon.

In this match, Akbar/Marsheilla did not face any serious problems. They won straight games 21-16 and 21-14 Akbar/Marsheilla in just 26 minutes.

Not wanting to lose to Akbar/Marsheilla, the Indonesian mixed doubles Zachariah/Hediana also secured a ticket to the last 16 of the Thailand Open 2022 after overthrowing the Indian representative, Venkat Gaurav/Juhi Dewangan.

Zachariah/Hediana finished the match in 26 minutes with a score of 21-15 and 21-11.

On the other hand, although Indonesia's two mixed doubles managed to qualify for the round of 16, one pair in this number, namely Rehan Naufal/Lisa Ayu, had to be tolerant because they were stopped in the round of 32.

Rehan/Lisa failed to reach the last 16 after being tackled by representatives of Thailand, Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Sapsiree Taerattanachai in a rubber game that lasted 52 minutes. Rehan/Lisa lost 21-13, 16-21 and 13-21.
