Android UI Update Now Can View Maps, Listen To Music And Reply Messages Simultaneously
JAKARTA - After the Google I/O 2022 event took place, Google shared several updates for cars with Android Auto and vehicles with Android Automotive-based infotainment systems.
The most important change is the UI update for Android Auto which will focus on making navigation easier, controlling media, and communicating while driving.
Google is also standardizing split-screen displays across all devices to accommodate the larger displays in new cars.
This new display certainly allows you to make it easier for drivers to view directions, music, and display text at the same time.
This means that you'll be able to quickly pause a song or view a new message without having to pull out an app or navigate through tons of menus and settings.
Google will also improve support for adaptive layouts, which will make it easier to adapt to the growing variety of displays in new cars.

Meanwhile, to improve hands-free control, Google Assistant is better contextual suggestions for things like replying to missed calls, texting arrival times, and more.
Finally, for car owners with Android Automotive-based systems (like new vehicles from Ford, Volvo, and others), Google is expanding your in-car entertainment options with broader support for video streaming apps.
Earlier this year at CES, Google announced the ability to stream clips from YouTube, and now Tubi TV and Epix Now apps are about to be added.
