JAKARTA – Indonesia's move in Uber Cup 2022 received a difficult challenge in the quarter-finals. China will certainly be the opponent of Bilqis Prasista et al.
The draw for the quarter-finals will be made on Wednesday, 11 May afternoon. Indonesia, which qualified as runner-up in Group A, had to accept the reality of facing a strong Chinese team that won Group B.
"As the runner-up in Group A, I was aware from the start that Indonesia would meet strong teams who won the group. So it doesn't matter. Therefore, we will face whoever the opponent is," said team manager Hendro Santoso in a statement received by VOI, Wednesday.
Throughout the group stage, Indonesia has won a total of two wins from three matches. Two victories were obtained over France and Germany.
Meanwhile, when facing Japan in the last match, Indonesia had to give up with a score of 1-4. The Red and White squad only gained one point through the women's singles Bilqis who beat Akane Yamaguchi.
As for China, which came as one of the champion candidates, successfully wiped out all matches in the group stage. They successfully beat Chinese Taipei, Spain, and Australia.

With this result, of course, China will become a very tough opponent for Indonesia. However, said Hendro, Bilqis and his friends still had to enjoy the match and appear carefree.
"The important thing is to be confident because nothing is impossible or impossible, as long as we are willing to try hard," said Hendro.
In the other draw, India and Thailand faced each other. The winner of this match will face China or Indonesia, who will advance to the semifinals later.
Then in the top block, Japan, who won Group A, will face Chinese Taipei, while South Korea will meet the runner-up in Group C, namely Denmark.
