The Indonesian rowing team coach, M Hadris admitted that he could predict that he would win a gold medal in this event. Including the gold medal won by the couple Sulfianto and La Memo who fell in the man's double sculls number.

"That's because we have also seen and studied the strength of the opponent," said Hadris.

In addition to presenting the gold medal, the Indonesian rowing team also won two silver medals.
