Celebrating 75 Years Of Worker's Party Kim Jong Un Showing Off Latest Ballistic Missiles
JAKARTA - North Korea's Supreme Leader, Kim Jong Un, celebrated the 75th Anniversary of the Labor Party by showing off his country's newest weapon. Not only that, he also announced that no citizen had contracted the corona virus.
Quoting the Reuters website, North Korea's new weapon is an intercontinental ballistic missile. Kim Jong Un promised that missiles and nuclear weapons would only be used for North Korea's defense.
"We will continue to strengthen our war-deterrence capabilities, to prevent all kinds of risky efforts and threats - including the nuclear threat constantly exacerbated by enemy forces," Kim Jong Un was quoted as saying by Yonhap news agency, Saturday, October 10.
The North Korean missile show was the first time for Kim Jong Un since 2018. In that year, Kim Jong Un met with US President Donald Trump to discuss the possibility of denuclearization.
With the missile exhibition, Kim Jong Un allegedly gave a signal that he would not denuclearize in the near future. Kim Jong Un did not even mention denuclearization in his speech at the Worker's 75th Birthday.

Not only showing off the latest ballistic weapons and missiles, Kim Jong Un is also grateful that there are no citizens who have contracted the corona virus in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic that has hit the world.
"Not a single citizen" has suffered from the corona virus, said Kim Jong Un.
Emotionally, he expressed his gratitude to the North Korean military who tirelessly and worked hard to prevent the Covid-19 outbreak and natural disasters. In his speech, Kim also offered prayers and hopes for those who are still struggling because of Covid-19 to recover soon.
Since the corona virus pandemic broke out, Pyongyang has swiftly closed all access entrances to its border with China. Although the US and neighboring countries, South Korea, had doubts, according to local media there were no reports of positive cases of corona there.
