D-3 Eid, Jasa Marga Predicts Vehicles Leaving Jabotabek Up 233 Percent

JAKARTA - Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication and Community Development Group Head Dwimawan Heru said, the total number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek heading east (Trans Java) is estimated to reach 131,520 vehicles in one day through the Cikampek Utama toll gate (GT).

"An increase of 233 percent compared to the normal period in November 2021 of 39,554 vehicles," he said in an official statement, quoted Friday, April 29.

At 09.00 WIB, Heru said, a number of density points were observed on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road towards Cikampek, including Km 48 which is the meeting point for traffic on the lower Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road and MBZ Flyover as well as ahead of access to exit and enter the Km 57 rest area. .

Furthermore, Heru explained that Jasa Marga had stopped the one-way traffic engineering. Previously, the one-way program took place at Km 47 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road to Km 414 of the Kalikangkung Toll Gate (GT) of the Batang-Semarang Toll Road since Thursday, April 28, at 17.28 WIB.

"The extension of the one-way implementation period for the first day is at the discretion of the Police by considering the high volume of traffic from Jabotabek heading east via the Trans Java Toll Road," he said. Because, today is the first day of joint leave in the context of Eid al-Fitr.

The toll gates in question are the Barrier/Main Toll Gate (GT), namely GT Cikupa towards Merak, GT Ciawi towards Puncak, and GT Cikampek Utama and GT Kalihurip Utama towards Trans Java and Bandung.

Jasa Marga, continued Heru, predicts the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek through the four gates is around 264,000 vehicles, an increase of 26 percent from the peak flow of Eid al-Fitr homecoming in 2019.

Therefore, Heru appealed to travelers to be careful when driving, pay attention to signs and directions from officers in the field. "Make sure the balance of electronic money and fuel is sufficient before entering the toll road so that the journey is more comfortable," he said.
