COVID-19 Update As Of April 27: New Cases Of 617, Healing Increases To 1,178

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 123,804 specimens were examined with the result that there were 617 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulated positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,045,660 people and active cases have fallen by 597 to 9,142", said Ministry of Health data, Wednesday, April 27.

Today's recovered cases increased by 1,178 people, bringing the total to 5,880,319 recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 36 cases and the total was 156,199 people.

The province with the newest cases was Central Java with 207 cases and a total of 626,983 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with 130 new cases with a total of 1,247,344 cases. West Java with 75 new cases and a total of 1,105,209 cases. Banten has 42 new cases and a total of 292,250 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to Central Java with an additional 493 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 197 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an additional 142 recovered cases, and North Sumatra with an additional 85 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 95,279,624.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week was 9.68 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 3,382 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 199,113,714 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 164,338,853 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 36,061,373. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
