Today's Homecoming Flow Is Still Sloping Despite An Increase In The Number Of Vehicles

JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police said that the traffic flow for several toll roads out of Jakarta was still normal ahead of the 2022 Eid al-Fitr holiday. However, there was an increase in the number of passing vehicles.

"Not yet. It's still slightly above the normal daily average, but not significant," said Traffic Director of Polda Metro Jaya Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo when confirmed, Tuesday, April 26.

It is predicted that an increase in the number of new vehicles will occur as Eid approaches.

Because, referring to crossing data on April 25, the number of vehicles had decreased compared to before.

"If I'm not mistaken, last night there was a decrease compared to the previous one. Monday compared to Sunday there was a decrease," said Sambodo.

For information, the peak of the 2022 Eid homecoming flow is predicted to occur on April 28 and 29. Thus, the National Police and the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) decided to implement several traffic flow schemes.

The first scheme is to apply odd-even on toll roads. Then, contraflow and the last one way to unravel the bottleneck.
