Higuain Warns Suarez: MLS Is A Tough League, You Can't Play While Smoking A Cigar
JAKARTA - Gonzalo Higuain has warned Luis Suarez who is considering continuing his career in Major League Soccer (MLS). He said playing in the league of Uncle Sam's Country was far from easy.
The Argentine striker has been playing in the US since signing for Inter Miami in 2020. He has revealed how difficult it is to play there than he previously imagined.
"I thought I would come here with a cigar in my mouth, but it's tough", Higuain said in a Twitch interview with Christian Vieri.
"This is a difficult league. I learned that it is similar to Serie A."
Meanwhile, in recent weeks it has been reported that Suarez will move to MLS when his contract at Atletico Madrid expires this summer.
Diario UF reports he has decided to join David Beckham at Inter Miami.
Suarez spoke about the prospect of playing in MLS one day during Barcelona's pre-season tour of the US in 2015.
"One day I was walking through San Francisco and people didn't know me", he told ESPN Deportes.
"This country is very big, football is not the main sport and you can relax more. It's not a bad choice."
