Anticipating Accidents On Sea And Land Homecoming Routes, Basarnas Prepares 4 Rescue Helicopters
JAKARTA - The National Search and Rescue Agency (BASARNAS) is preparing SAR personnel at several points prone to homecoming, such as the Trans Java route (North Coast and South Coast) and other strategic tourist areas.
The readiness of this personnel is to anticipate emergency conditions against transportation accidents. Basarnas is also assisted by the Ministry of Transportation, TNI, POLRI, BMKG, Regional Government, Toll Road Managers, Hospitals, and other institutions.
"We will alert personnel in every area, to support the safety of people who will carry out homecoming this year," said the Head of the National Search and Rescue Agency.

The Head of Basarnas asked all Heads of SAR Offices (Kansar) to always be on standby for Eid special SAR in 2022. Not only that, he also asked rescue personnel to always improve coordination, skills, and alertness to support the speed of response time in SAR operations.
Meanwhile, the Basarnas rescue personnel in the 2022 Eid Special SAR Alert are reinforced with the main air SAR equipment, namely four helicopters.
The four main equipment are Hellycopter Bolcow HR 1522 stationed at Merak Harbor, Hellycopter Augusta Westland (AW 139) HR1301 at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, Hellycopter Dauphin AS 365 N3+ HR 3606 at Ahmad Yani Airport Semarang and Hellycopter Dauphin AS 365 N3 HR 3603 at the Airport Juanda Surabaya.
"Helicopters to support response time if something unexpected happens at some vulnerable points. In addition, the main marine SAR tools are also alerted on inter-island transportation routes," he said.
