COVID-19 Update As Of April 18: New Cases 559, Active Cases 50,969
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 128,876 specimens were examined with the results of 559 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 6,040,432 and active cases have fallen by 7,309 to 50,969", said Ministry of Health data, Monday, April 18.
Today's recovered cases increased by 7,831 cases, bringing the total to 5,833,560 recovered people. Then, positive confirmation that 37 died and a total of 155,903 people.
The province with the highest number of new cases was DKI Jakarta with 170 cases and a total of 1,245,823 cases. Followed by West Java with 124 new cases with a total of 1,104,201 cases. Central Java has 49 new cases and a total of 626,937 cases. Then, Banten with 44 new cases and a total of 291,801 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to Lampung with an additional 5,247 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 640 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 459 recovered cases and DKI Jakarta with an additional 414 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 94,163,459.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 1.25 percent", it wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 2,820 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
So far, 198,248,066 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 162,879,095 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 31,348,872. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
