Fahri Hamzah Suggests Jokowi To Pursue The Nickname Of Father Of Reconciliation, Faldo Maldini: President Has Many Achievements
JAKARTA - The Secretary of State Secretary, Faldo Maldini, responded to the statement by the Deputy Chairperson of the Gelora Party, Fahri Hamzah, who suggested that President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) should pursue the nickname, Mr. Reconciliation. Fahri believes that Jokowi must unite a country that is divided at the bottom.
"In response to Fahri Hamzah's statement regarding President Jokowi as the Father of Reconciliation, we think that Mr Jokowi has many achievements in various fields. Everything has been done well", Faldo told reporters, Monday, April 18.
Faldo then said that Jokowi's achievements in dealing with the pandemic were achievements.
"We will see the handling of the pandemic. We are one of the best in Asia. If the pandemic goes wrong, we can't talk about anything else today", said Faldo.
Faldo also said that Fahri also deserves to be dubbed the 'Brother of Reconciliation' who pays attention to the current condition of the nation.
"I think, as a senior politician, Bang Fahri seems more worthy of being called the Brother of Reconciliation, who thinks and struggles in today's divided society", said Faldo.
Even so, Faldo assessed, there was no special momentum for the publication of the nicknames of the six Indonesian Presidents. Because according to him, everything published by the State Secretariat account is a reproduction of content from Balai Kirti.
"We think that discussing the spirit of every presidency needs to be done at any time. So that people will appreciate what we have achieved as a nation. In addition, this is also a vehicle to increase awareness of the Presidential museum itself", said Faldo.

Previously, the Deputy Chairperson of the Gelora Party, Fahri Hamzah, suggested that President Jokowi pursue the nickname, Mr. Reconciliation.
The reason is that the former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives for the 2009-2014 period is worried about the condition of Indonesia which is somewhat divided at the bottom.
"I'm still worried about the division at the grassroots, that's why, for example, if Mr. Jokowi wants to be given a title, I would prefer him to pursue the title of Mr. Reconciliation", said Fahri, Monday, April 18.
"Because, if possible, before he stepped down, he reunited our country which was a bit divided at the bottom", he continued.
