"(What was secured) 18, some were students, some were unemployed," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters, Tuesday, October 6.
Based on a temporary examination, they deliberately came to the vicinity of the MPR-DPR building because they wanted to get involved in the chaos. Because, they got a chain message about this.
"They saw the messages circulating with their WA messages that the demonstration was chaotic, they wanted to go there, wanted to join in," said Yusri.
From the search results, no sharp weapons or other weapons were found. So, they will only be scouted first and then sent back.
"Later we will give a little lecture, we will give spiritual shower, just came home," said Yusri.
As for the ratification of the Job Creation Law, there were reactions from many parties, especially workers. They staged a strike action until demonstrations to demand that the law be repealed.
The Head of the Communication and Media Department of the Confederation of Indonesian Workers Unions (KSPI), Kahar S. Cahyono, said that the demonstration was carried out by workers per region. They will not move to the DPR-RI area.
"Today, the KSPI took action in various regions. The masses did not go to the DPR," Kahar told VOI, Tuesday, October 6.
Kahar said there were several reasons for the demonstration not to be centered in front of the DPR building. First, by reason of preventing the spread of COVID-19.
"We are considering the health problems of fellow workers. So we have decided not to hold an action in the DPR," he said.
