Bobby Nasution Asks Creative Economy Actors In Medan To Register Intellectual Property
MEDAN - Mayor of Medan, North Sumatra, Bobby Nasution appealed to creative economy actors to immediately register intellectual property results through the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumh HAM) provincial representatives.
"Therefore, I ask all of my friends to participate in registering intellectual property results through the Ministry of Law and Human Rights in Medan City," said Bobby Nasution in Medan, Thursday, April 14.
This was conveyed by Bobby Nasution when attending an intellectual property seminar held by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights of North Sumatra and attended by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno virtually in Medan.
This seminar carries the theme "Spurring Creativity and Innovation for National Economic Recovery" which was attended by a number of governors throughout Sumatra and regents/mayors throughout North Sumatra.
"Maybe many still don't realize that intellectual property is one of the assets we have so that in the future it can add economic value," said Bobby.
Bobby Nasution asked creative economy actors not only to pay attention to their products, but also their intellectual property.
"Intellectual property, such as brands, logos, and others. Because intellectual property is one of the assets of a product," he said.
Meanwhile, Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna H Laoly admitted that North Sumatra is one of the provinces with the most registrations in Sumatra related to intellectual property with creativity and innovation.
The Ministry of Law and Human Rights encourages economic actors, campus innovators, creative economy actors, musicians, creators to compete in creating and registering their intellectual products.
"The research results show that the higher the intellectual level of the country, the more developed the country is," said Yasonna.
