MEDAN - Police arrested a member of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) Batubara Regency, North Sumatra with the initials RR. He was arrested for committing fraud in the purchase of 22 cows.
Head of Public Relations of the Coal Resort Police, Iptu Ahmad Fahmi, explained that RR was arrested based on the victim's report, Rosmalela Batubara (57).
RR, who was the agent at that time, bought 22 bulls belonging to the victim for IDR 249 million in June 2019, in Hamlet X, Sei Suka Deras Village, Sei Suka District, Batubara Regency.
"The suspect told the victim one week after taking the cow, the money was paid", said Iptu Ahmad, Wednesday, April 13.
But the PDIP legislator only paid it 2 months later. At that time, the suspect only paid IDR 126 million.

After that, the suspect made a stamped statement which he signed. In the letter, the suspect stated that he would pay the remaining IDR 122 million for the remaining cattle purchases by the end of November 2019.
"But after the end of November 2019, the suspect did not pay for the remainder of the purchase of the cow. After the victim repeatedly asked for it, then on September 22, 2020, IDR 5 million was paid", said Iptu Ahmad.
"Then on January 29, 2021, it is IDR 3 million, on February 3, 2021, it is IDR 2 million", he continued.
