Reporting from Antara, heavy rain that can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds has the potential to occur in parts of the provinces of Aceh, West Sumatra, Riau, Bengkulu, Jambi, South Sumatra, Bangka Belitung Islands, Lampung, Banten and West Java.

Parts of the Provinces of Central Java, Special Region of Yogyakarta, East Java, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, Central Sulawesi, North Maluku, Maluku and Papua are also likely to experience heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds.

Meanwhile, the provinces of North Sumatra, Riau Islands, DKI Jakarta, West Nusa Tenggara, South Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, West Sulawesi, and parts of West Papua are forecasted to face rain that can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds.

BMKG also issued a warning regarding the potential for waves as high as 2.5 meters to four meters in the Indian Ocean south of Java to Bali-West Nusa Tenggara and the southern waters of Banten to Lombok from Saturday 9 April at 14.00 WIB to Monday 11 April 14.00 WIB.
